What If God Is Waiting On You?
I’ve got a message for you. Your next step, your next level is awaiting you. What are you waiting for?
I heard that you said you were still in the same place in your life because you were waiting on God or waiting on your spouse or for some situation to change. Well, what if God is waiting on you? What if the people in your life are waiting on you? What if your situation is waiting on you?
What if you already have the green light and your situation won’t change until you change it? What if you already have everything that you need to improve your situation this very minute? Are you ready? What if the wisdom of God is already in you and all you need to do is change your perspective to overcome the offenses of the past, the fears of today and move relentlessly into your future? What if it’s not God or him or her or “it” that’s holding you back? What if it’s you?
What if you eliminate all of the excuses and point all your fingers back at yourself? What’s the worst that can happen? You look in the mirror and see yourself for all that you are and for all that you aren’t. You should try it; it’s very liberating and extremely humbling and empowering at the same time! You stand there, in a brilliant moment of clarity and you get to see yourself for all that you are and for all that you aren’t and you get to make a real simple decision. Keep choosing this life or choose another. Either you continue to live in fear or find out what it feels like to fly! It’s time to get some serious mental toughness and get some real understanding about why you are where you are in your life because it’s certainly your choice. It always has been. Why are you choosing the life that you have if you don’t like it?
Why suffer in discomfort when you can choose otherwise? Wherever you are in your life right now is a result of you choosing to be there. Either by conscious decision (directly or indirectly) or by subconscious default, it is your choice. By subconscious default, I mean that your subconscious thought patterns are making decisions for you without your awareness. When you fail to act proactively by not attempting to master yourself and your thoughts, you inevitably have to accept whatever happens; in this case, by default, you accept whatever those thought patterns produce in your life. Be it negative or positive, it’s your creation and your responsibility. (For the sake of clarity and a balanced view, I do believe that there are aspects of this existence that we as people have no control over, but my philosophy is to control the controllable; your thoughts being priority.)
Okay so you’re standing in front of the mirror and you decide you’d rather change your life for the better rather than to stay the same. What does it take to really do that? It takes intense desire to change. You have to have a reason strong enough to keep you motivated because it involves work on your part. It takes a willingness to accept yourself for whatever you find within yourself. It takes an openness to experience the infinite possibilities that you may be currently blind to. It takes self-discipline and an aggressive pursuit of your own time. When you decide to get to know the real you, you will go through a process of mental, emotional and spiritual exploration, evaluation then judgment and fear, then the turning point is when you come to the fork in the road. Usually, if you’ve come this far, you are committed to going all the way. So the decision is do you hold on or do you let go? Whatever you find within you; the fear, the selfishness, the dependency, insecurities and the anger, the regret and the pain, the resentment and the violation, do you hold on to it and allow it to rob you of your freedom and peace or do you let it all go in exchange for a new you to emerge? It is here that you turn the corner if you decide to let go of all things that are holding you back. Some say what you don’t know won’t hurt you. That’s bull spit! It’s what you don’t know that will hurt you more than anything.
If you’re going to change, some serious inner-seeking, inner-healing and mental programming has to take place in order to change the thought patterns of your conscious and subconscious mind. If you are not consciously aware of why you do what you do and feel the way that you feel, then the reason is rooted in your subconscious and it’s up to you to get the roots out. Fear is the underlying root cause of many of our personal issues. The fear may not currently be coming from anything external, rather coming from insecurities within and expressing itself in your external world. One way to find out is to spend lots of quality time with just you and your thoughts. You have to relentlessly examine your own thought patterns, consistently evaluate your actions and habits and get to know yourself emotionally and spiritually. Once you find out all the negative, ugly and poisonous thoughts that are contaminating your life and infecting the lives of others around you, then you purge. Release. Get rid of any and every thought habit that is keeping you from rising to your potential. I’m telling you, getting to know yourself is the best thing that you can do for yourself. Knowing yourself solves a lot of problems because it allows you to see life more objectively. You take life less personally when you really know who you are. Also, knowing yourself, coupled with self-discipline, prevents you from making ignorant and unwise decisions that lead to unwanted results in your life. Knowing yourself gives you the power to create the life of your dreams.
In order to change your life, you have to change your thought patterns. But you have to know what they are in order to change them so you have to take a break from people occasionally to be alone with your thoughts. Sift through them and you’ll learn a lot about yourself and your life. You’ll find the causes for many of your problems and you’ll find the answers to many of your questions. No one can tell you who you really are, except you. Only YOU can really know YOU. Search within and find yourself. What thought patterns and beliefs are really yours and what have you just borrowed from others? Thoughts are everywhere, not just in your own head. You read thoughts in books and online; you hear thoughts in music and on television and from other realms and those thoughts affect you both consciously and subconsciously. Everyone else’s thoughts have some sort of impact on your own thoughts. It was other people’s thoughts when you were a child that laid the foundation for your identity. HHow you were treated and what you were told about yourself as a child, adolescent and even as an adult make up your conscious and subconscious thought patterns today. How you see yourself and how you see life is a result of the mental programming that took place in your household and the immediate world around you. Thoughts are pure energy, pure power that literally transforms into physical matter. They shape the direction of your life. If you don’t have positive, healthy thoughts always on your mind, then how can you expect to manifest positive, healthy & fulfilling circumstances in your life? Apple seeds produce apples, not oranges. Your thoughts are seeds that you plant into the very fertile universal mind called life. Once you plant the thought and water it with emotional energy, you’ve just set into motion the physical manifestation process with the power (energy) of your thoughts. YOU should be the strongest, loudest, most positive voice in your own ear. No one should be able to love you and take care of you better than you. You should be the one who loves you unconditionally and speaks powerful words of life into your self. You have the power to change your circumstances by seeking more wisdom and knowledge relating to the power of your thoughts and words.
Thoughts play a major role in our life decisions; which of course affects the outcomes that we experience. That’s why it’s so important for you to get to know yourself in a very deep way. You are far more complex than what you give yourself credit for. It’s important that you understand how you think and why you think that way because the quality of your thoughts, affect the quality of your life.
Exploring your own mind is a wonderful way to expand the circumference of your “happy place.” No limits, no boundaries; no one and no thing to stop me. I am happy and I am free because I choose to be. That’s a good affirmation to speak daily. “No limits, no boundaries; no one and no thing to stop me. I am happy and I am free because I choose to be.” Say it again, “No limits, no boundaries; no one and no thing to stop me. I am happy and I am free because I choose to be.” And keep saying it until it is imbedded in your brain and plays on repeat in your mind. Even if you don’t believe this to be true at the moment, it will become true over time. Mind control; when you control your mind, you control your life.
If you’re in a stagnant, unhappy place in your life, you don’t need a sign. You need to make a decision and follow through. Decide what you want and then move towards establishing it. You say you’re waiting on God, but God is waiting on you. Your next step, your next level is awaiting you. No excuses. No limits. No boundaries. No fear. Make a decision, create a plan and follow through. It’s not on anyone else. It’s all on you. –love, sj
